AICPIN (IW) or All India Consumer Price Index Number for
Industrial Workers for the month of June 2012 is increased by 2 points from the
AICPIN (IW) of May 2012 and reached 208. For the month of May 2012 the AICPIN
was 206 points. Now there is a 2 point increase. This increase is happened due
to the average price increase of daily using commodities. These commodities are wheat, rice, onion,
vegetables, cotton, jute etc.
When we consider
centre wise index number, the highest increase of 8 points recorded in Mercara
centre and Godawarikhani centre and the maximum decrease of 2 points recorded Ludhiana
and Mysore Canters. The Index Numbers of six major centers for the last 6 months are
as follows:

Point to point rate
of inflation CPI (IW) for June 2012 is 10.05% which was less than May 2012 (10.16%
in May 2012). Inflation based on Food Index is also come down as 10.45% in June
2012 which was 10.61% in May 2012.
As per the AICPIN(IW) for June 2012 recorded is 208 and the Expected Dearness from July 2012 will be 72% (7% increase from the last D.A 65%)
